Entry forms for the 2010 Plain English Awards

We need more 'Brainstrain' nominations!

There have been more entries than ever in the 2010 Plain English Awards, but very few in the 'Brainstrain' category. You can help by nominating whatever unfathomable gobbledygook you’re recently had to read!

We’ve extended the deadline for People’s Choice nominations until 5pm Tuesday 13 July (entries for all other categories are closed).

There are many poorly worded documents and websites out there that frustrate or disadvantage people every day. Don’t let them go unchallenged. Nominate them now. You can also enter a document or website that impressed you with its clarity.

Please use the links below for entry forms for each award.

Entries close 5pm Tuesday 13 July 2010.

Category 6: People’s Choice

What happens to your entry once you’ve submitted it?

Judges first select up to ten shortlisted entries, and then three finalists, including the winner, for each award category. All decisions from the  independent judging panel are final.

Finalists and winners — what to expect

Finalists and winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, so come prepared with a short acceptance speech!  We’ll also ask finalists and winners to submit a press release that will be published on this website after the event.
