Plain English Awards

celebrate New Zealand's clearest communicators

Are the Awards still making a difference?

We definitely think so — but it’s your opinion that matters!

As organisers of the Plain English Awards, we love to hear how being involved with the Awards has provided value for you and your organisation.

One of the ways we do this is by surveying past winners, finalists, entrants, and sponsors of the Awards. It’s our way of checking that the Awards continue to have an impact on the New Zealand public and the organisations that serve them.

The feedback we received from our surveys in 2010, 2015, 2017, and 2018 showed that the Awards:

  • are highly appreciated and valued by entrants and sponsors
  • are incredibly good for your brand and reputation
  • have a positive impact on the New Zealand public and on organisations that enter the Awards
  • raise the bar and give organisations a benchmark to assess their own performance
  • bring credibility and recognition for hard work
  • boost the confidence of people and organisations.

Keep an eye out for future surveys! We love getting your feedback so we can continue to improve how we run the Awards, and make sure they have maximum impact.
