Safe teen driver
The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is delighted to be a finalist in the Plain English Awards.
Improving the safety of young drivers is a key focus for us. The ‘safe teen driver’ campaign talks directly to parents and caregivers about how they can stay involved. It provides them with practical tools they can use with their teens to help keep them safe.
We had a lot of information we could have shared with parents but chose to keep the messages short, sharp and useful. We have tried to write plainly so that parents could understand the greatest risk areas and what mitigations would help to make the most difference.
