The Department of Internal Affairs’ Digital Engagement Team is delighted to be a finalist in the Best Individual or Team category in this year’s WriteMark Plain English Awards.
Our goal is to make it easier for New Zealanders to interact with government online. We are committed to speaking the language of our users — not the language of government. All of our content is written in plain English and organised around user needs, not government structure.
We have published our style guide on beta.govt.nz so that users can hold us accountable for what we have promised.
