Judging process for the 2012 Plain English Awards
The 2012 Plain English Awards will be judged by 30 or more national and international plain English specialists and advocates. The judges are divided across eight judging panels.
Judges will :
- assess the entries against the specific requirements for each award and the plain English criteria shown on this website
- select a shortlist of up to 10 entries for each award
- select up to 3 entries from each shortlist
- choose a winner for each award.
Awards of Distinction
Each of the top three entries for each award will receive an Award of Distinction. Those who win Awards of Distinction will be notified ahead of the Awards ceremony on 29 November 2012.
Announcement of winners
The winners of each award will be announced at the Awards ceremony on 29 November.
