It\u2019s not often that a complete stranger jumps in to help. Particularly one that\u2019s disguised as an industry award with the title \u2018Brainstrain\u2019.<\/p>\n

Meet your new friend \u2014 the Brainstrain Award<\/h4>\n

The People\u2019s Choice Awards offer members of the public an opportunity to celebrate excellent communications and to draw attention to bad ones \u2014 through the Brainstrain Award.<\/p>\n

Winning the Brainstrain Award is like being offered a helping hand from a stranger. We say \u2018stranger\u2019 because all nominations are anonymous (and free).<\/p>\n

The \u2018helping hand\u2019 is an opportunity for the winner to turn their communication around and make it better than ever. (And maybe even enter the Turnaround Award in the next round of full Plain English Awards in 2020.)<\/p>\n

The Brainstrain winner gets some plain English love<\/h4>\n

The winning nomination gets the unenviable title of \u2018People\u2019s Choice \u2014 Worst Brainstrain Communication\u2019. Sure, the word \u2018Brainstrain\u2019 doesn\u2019t sound that great. But when you read what else winners receive, the title becomes a little less ominous.<\/p>\n
