Paula Shelton

Consultant, Scruffy Dog, New Zealand

Writing wicked web copy, in days when web pages took minutes to download, inspired Paula to connect clear, concise, and ready-to-action plain English with website success. She published her first site in 1998, which became an award-winning international success and testing ground for writing copy to get a business result.

From this commercial success, Paula built a freelance career writing web copy in plain English, especially for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses. She also wrote the copy for the first parliament.nz website in 2006.

Paula retired from the management team at Write Limited at Easter this year, to set up an independent consultancy business, Scruffy Dog. This has given her the perfect excuse to incorporate a small, scruffy, dog into every day of her life, and no excuses for not taking exercise.
