People's Choice 'Brainstrain' Document 2011

Judges' comments

See the 'Brainstrain' category requirements for more details.

Winner: Capital & Coast DHB — letter

The two pages are a terrible muddle and very confusing, especially for anyone whose vision may not be good. (More comments sent privately.)

Finalist: AMI — AMI Disclosure Statement

This is meant to be a disclosure statement, i.e., it is meant to disclose something. But it is not immediately clear what it’s trying to disclose.

Finalist: Smartshares — Notice to Unitholders of Smartshares Exchange Traded Funds

The person entering the document for the competition has summed up the danger of this kind of document: "The author may consider that the reader has been informed of something."
