I'm thrilled to be honoured again in WriteMark's Plain English Awards. Thanks to the judging panel, and also to Write Limited for strongly advertising the value of clear communication.

In working with the medical community I get a great source of technical material and enjoyable challenges for 'before and after' editing opportunities.

I'm a big advocate of plain English and believe good communication helps build good relationships, reputation, and trust. Plain English was described as being 'caring' because of its focus on giving information without baffling or talking down to people. As a service area focused on rehabilitating injured New Zealanders, it's vital to offer clear and sensitive communication to both our clients and our service staff. It's good to know we do it well.
