Entry criteria for Category 4: Best Plain English Transformation

This award recognises the best plain English rewrite of ‘unplain’ text written by a New Zealand organisation.

The original text must be:

  • up to 200 words long
  • difficult for the intended audience to understand.

Entries must:

  • include both the original text and the rewrite
  • belong to the organisation submitting the entry.

As part of the judging process, entries are assessed against relevant criteria in the WriteMark Plain English Standard.
