Winning the Best Plain English Document Public Sector category for our brochure on safe cattle handling is a great endorsement that we got it right.

Giving safety messages to farmers is a challenge so the brief was clear – it had to convey a strong feeling of 'farmer talking to farmer'. Thanks to all those people who translated the brief to create something that farmers could use and relate to. As one farmer said 'No one feels lectured to – it feels more friendly and everyday'. That’s the real success for us.
