After years of experience in education and sales, Sarah became a freelance writer and editor in 2005. She brings clarity to written information, both as web content and in print, working with a variety of commercial, technical and research material. A speciality is material in the area of bicultural Māori–Pākehā understanding. Sarah convened the Wellington Plain Language Group for 3 years.

Sarah delivers customised training programmes in business writing, and is a registered workplace assessor for levels 1–6 of the New Zealand Qualifications Framework. She has a Diploma of Māori Studies, a Diploma of Adult Teaching and Learning, and a BA in Sociology.
